I’ve been an “art student” for the past 3 years. I did math the year before that.
I’ve spent maybe $350 on textbooks and course books that entire time. $150 of that was from the time I took a fourth year law elective.
Now I’m doing a business diploma… My first 3 subjects alone are setting me back $350 of textbooks and it’s the first year I don’t have any of my materials funded by my old bursary because it’s a new degree and because I’m not technically a “first year” so I’m ineligible for support through my uni as well.
Don’t mind me while I freak out a bit.
Not only are the actual subjects more expensive that i’m used to but now the up-front costs are as well. At least with art and design it’s just about replacing and purchasing new materials over time.
