What if I set out to try and read most of these this year? I’ve already read (and own) the first one!

  3. I really loved this book as a kid. (It’s $6 including shipping but I’m not allowed to buy books for ages because I already have “far too many”)

  5. ahhahah i wouldn’t say reading stephen king would make you pretentious! everyone reads the bastard hahahh! it’d be a shame to give away some pretty fun books. also dying by overloaded bookshelf is the only dignified way to go.

Haha, no I was thinking more pretentious for some of my other library stuff. I have like plays by Aristophanes, Sophocles and three books of Euripides. Plus a ridiculous amount of Shakespeare even though my mother has fancy hardback ones. Also Australian plays and Elizabeathan plays and a crazy amount of poetry.

I’ve never even been an English or a performance major.

It’s probably just going to be easier to give away Stephen King than it will be some of this other stuff.

Thinking of giving away all my Tolkein and Stephen King among other books.

Life is too short for me to pretend I’m ever going to read them.

I’d also prefer to not be the pretentious little shit I was in high school who totally thought she was better read than most other people.

Also my library doesn’t fit on the bookshelves I own and will probably fall and kill me while i sleep one night.

  8. Fixing up my Goodreads account.

Deleting duplicates and items that got imported that aren’t books and organising existing lists.

After that i’m going to make myself “reading lists” for my different Subject Periods so I can keep track of what books to read when according to the theme I’m reading at the time.

I’m not usually this particular with my reading, I’m just procrastinating from some uni and TAFE work that I should really just do already, but if you’d like to add me you’re quite welcome - i love seeing what other people have in their TBR pile or what they think of different books.

  9. Currently Reading: Melbourne by Sophie Cunningham.
It got bumped to the top of my TBR pile after I heard good things on twitter (and it became available at the library!)

  10. I Imported my BookDepository Wishlist into Goodreads.

    Oh dear.

    To Read: 765.

Admittedly i’ve read some of those, there was a weird crossover moment where I realised i still had some books on my BD list that i’d bought and read already but oh well. Have I mentioned I like reading?

This all came about because I’d noticed that my “Read” list was bigger then my “To Read” list and I knew that was inaccurate.

Current Read List stands at 370 but it’s missing some and it has a few duplicates in it at the moment.
